Glee Season 4 Review

On Thursday September 13th, 2012 the fourth season of Glee premiered on Global. Over the course of the first three seasons I tuned in and out but I did happen to catch the season 3 finale, which left me heart-broken and curious as to which direction the show was headed in. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the storyline still includes Rachael and Kurt even though they graduated from McKinley high.

Rachael starts off the season at NYADA in a dance class where her teacher(Kate Hudson) gives her problems and harshly glee4critiques her. Rachael worked really hard to arrange a dance number to show the teacher that she was talented and the teacher still insulted her! I find the teacher to be so annoying, I was go glad when Rachael stood up to her after her performance. In the first few seasons Rachael was an overachieving, bratty, person and I love seeing this vulnerable side, now that she’s at a new school filled with other talented people, but its good to know that she is still as passionate as ever to prove herself.

Rachael Also has a new potential love interest. Rachael is having a hard ep401sc42-4877time dealing with Finn enlisting in the army. She hasn't heard from him in two months and if you ask me its time for her to move on and spend more time enjoying the experience of living in New York. Also Brody (Dean Geyer) is a much better, dancer, singer and way easier on the eyes!

On another note, Kurt announced that he is going to try apply to NYADA again. I hope he gets in because the I love the chemistry between Kurt and Rachael they are such good friends and I hope they stay that way!

Back at McKinley high the New Directions arglehe looking for a new lead singer now that the Senior Class (more importantly Rachael) have moved on. There are still some good voices in Glee club but I feel like it will be necessary to bring in a lot of new voices in, in order to produce songs that were as good as the original club.

Also a surprising twist that I enjoyed, Puck has a step brother! Like Puck, Jake (Jacob Artist) is a misunderstood playboy (and guitar player like Puck) but I think that after speaking to Puck about the importance of friends he will turn his attitude around. He helping Marley (Melissa Benoist) by defending her mother (the lunch lady) when some jocks were being cruel so there appears to be hope for him yet. Also there appears to be a bit of chemistry budding between those two. I hope it works out! I hope he isn’t a jerk.

Speaking of Marley I believe she is considered the groups new Rachael. She’s a pretty girl and has a lovely voice but I think that comparing her to Rachael is a bit like comparing strawberries and watermelons, they’re both good, but different.

Below is a video of both girls performing. My personal favourite is Rachael, what do you think?
